My girlfriend, who's 7 months pregnant with our child, has threatened to move to Italy. Can she do that?

I was unemployed (and, still am) when we met almost a year ago. She's 7 months pregnant now, and has threatened, twice, to go to Italy, where she feels she'll get "more help" - an euphemism for my broke ***, I think. Can she do that? Can she just up and leave? And, what are my rights?
