Please help! My poison ivy is turning strange colors?

I've had poison ivy on the back of my leg for a week now. I've been treating it with medicine, and today I noticed that it wasn't itching much, but I looked in the mirror and found that it had turned a grey-brown color. Does that mean it's healing, or could this be a serious problem??
