Should i postpone this Halloween costume?

I'm going to be Avril Lavigne for Halloween but I just got braces. There's no way I can look the way I planned with braces. But I'll only have them for about 15 months if I take care of them, so I'll have them off by August next year. Should I be Avril Lavigne next year and choose something else for this year?
