How long after does it take after a getting tonsils removed to fell better?

I am getting my tonsils and adenoids removed in 3 days and about 2 and a half weeks after surgery i am going to summer camp for 6 weeks, should i be feeling back up to par by the time i leave on July the 3rd or should I postpone the surgery until i get back? I really dont want to feel horrible at camp, and Im not sure how physical it will be, but i do know that i will be moving about a lot the first week at camp for sure. 10 points for best answer!!
